The West Coast and it's never ending beauty.
California has proven to be more than a cure for wanderlust....but a place where I now have some of my happiest memories. I left Colorado with the intention to wing it and it got me a lot further than expected. Every day we woke up on island time and enjoyed all that California has to offer. I loved every single minute of it.
A big part of me wanted to pack up all my things in Colorado and come back to the West Coast for good. Part of me is still considering it. There is something about the Ocean that has healed me in ways no other medicine can. No matter which Ocean I am interacting with, I feel completely content in my place in the cosmos. The waves are crashing, the rides are risk and falling...all is as it should be.
My favorite days usually involved a mimosa in the morning or wine at lunch followed by a hike or an afternoon at the beach. It was such a trip seeing the mountains right next to the Ocean. It really felt like being in paradise. I also fell in love with the city of San Francisco! It's not as big as I thought it would be but San Fran has enough personality and culture for a city twice its size. There's nothing I love more than being in a diverse, progressive city. I felt right at home.
The only thing that brought me back to Colorado ( other than missing my cat like crazy!) was needing to be home in time to celebrate my moms birthday with the family. I'm so grateful I was able to do just that! I'll be daydreaming of this trip for quite some time.
I'm already putting a plan together to get back out to the West Coast! Honestly, I could not be more grateful to my friends in California for accommodating me. This adventure has me feeling renewed, refreshed and incredibly blessed!
Thanks so much for taking the time to check out this adventure!
