Full Moons bring manifestations to light.
As the illumination of the moon leaves us, we are left with less energy for the outside world and must look inward. I like to spend my Full Moons making magical art to bring with me on adventures and reflecting on where and who I am. I'm learning that everything is absolutely beautiful when you see it from a reflective and grateful mindset. Here's some recent photography of mine from my trip to Grand Lake and some self-study stream-of-thought I wrote down in my journal. This feeling seems too personal and simotaneously Universal to not share.
A Letter to Duality...or my exes ...actually, both.
Ah Duality....without you I would have nothing to compare anything to.
It's true, and it is untrue. It's both.
Can I let you in on a little secret?
It's almost always both.
The path you can't see is the converging one right in front of you,
but you're looking side to side so quickly trying to decide which one is right, that from your perspective, these appear to be 2 separate paths.
This is where most people get stuck;
on the trail of least resistance, looking at the scene.
the forest is lovely but this
is not due to the way the trees look.
Your awe is of her endeavor.
Do not peer into someone's journey so much that you lose sight of your own.
Both are true in their individual realities.
Your perceptions of me are not actually about me....they're about how you process information based on your unique life experience....it is both.
Turns out every day is a poem
but not every poem is about you.
Writing as a form of self reflection is one of my biggest therapeutic outlets. Seeing what I've written reminds me how far I have come.
Taking photos and independently traveling is my other go-to therapy. Seeing my photos remind me of where I've been and where I want to return.
My letter is not for a specific lover, it's for the idea that we are all searching for something greater than ourselves and so many of us break our hearts looking for it in someone else without even realizing that the only place the higher self is found- is within.
Look back on your relationships as you do your adventures. Because that's exactly what it was. Hearts break- but you will never lose a love in your life once you realize you've been that love all along. To return to this love is as simple as returning to a loved travel spot. If you have a clear mind, a set intention and a grateful attitude, you will always be fulfilled.
Cheers to this crazy beautiful existence!
& as you go about your day today, be kind to those you don't understand. For they have the most to teach.
