Reflections from the Mat: You're allowed to love yourself in the way you wish to be loved.
Do not settle for love that is anything less than what you have always dreamed of… Especially from yourself. It's okay to admire yourself in the mirror or take a bunch of selfie's because you're feeling it that day. It's okay to be working on yourself and still love who you are at the beginning of your journey, love how each foot step molds you, and love the person you are becoming. It's not okay to put yourself down or to allow others to mistreat you because you feel undeserving of love. (It's something we all feel and do from time to time.) However it is important to remember that you are worthy of divine love because you are divine love manifested into physical form. It is not selfish to take care of the vessel in which you experience life...
To know that I am perfect just as I am does not mean that I think I'm better than anyone else nor does it mean that I'm not continuing to change and improve all the time.
To have self love is to trust that the Cosmos manifested you exactly as you are for a reason. This mind, this body, this path. To practice self care is to honor the gift of having a spot in the Universe. In the grand scheme of the evolution of the cosmos- you are exactly what, who, and where you need to be. From this perspective, even the chaos and flaws of every day life become inconceivably magnificent and poetic in their imperfect nature. You're better than perfect- you're art.
