Self trust is the divine knowledge that your passions, path and personality are not random. They are the ways in which we discover our higher self. Your life path will be messy, confusing, winding, enlightening, painful, wonderful, and significant. It is all meant to be. Trust your evolution for it is happening in perfect synchronicity with the great Cosmos.
When we look inward, we will find that at the core of our beings- we are pure love. To perceive something without judgement is to see with love. Love is the ultimate healer. First, fall in love with yourself. Know that your higher self manifested you and your life exactly as is. When you look at something or someone with pure love, you will see with complete clarity. Where love exists, there is no room for judgement.
Our judgements of ourselves and others are samscara based avidya. Remember that to be human is to walk through reality with scars from past trauma and an underlying sense of existential dread. Everyone has a unique path and we can never truly know what someone else is going through. The correct reaction is patience, love and kindness.
Self realization occurs when we become still enough to realize “I am everything and nothing, I am the ocean and the wave within it.” Imagine being one of the atoms in your body that suddenly realizes it is the entire body. It’s you. The seemingly separate individual part is not only a part of but vital to the whole.
How does one connect to this oneness and this whole? Through the practice of yoga. The first dimension of yoga is the practice of asana and the cultivation of self awareness and sensitivity. The second dimension of yoga is the expansion of the mind and consciousness through meditation. The third dimension of yoga is the natural state of consequence that follows the experience of ones truth.
The purpose of yoga is to facilitate the profound inner relaxation that accompanies fearlessness.
